Box cover with fuse holder & three-prong receptacle. Box cover units are available in a variety of styles that fit standard electrical boxes, to provide an efficient and economical method to protect motors from overloads. Often, branch circuit protection cannot protect small motors, e.g., a 6-1/4 amp rated motor will likely burn up before a 30 amp breaker trips. A box cover unit permits using a fuse sized close to the motor’s load so that it opens when the motor draws too much current.
